Some Advice If You’re Breaking Out

As I’m typing this, it’s a Sunday afternoon (20th August to be exact) and I’m breaking outĀ again. I may have mentioned briefly that I broke out some weeks ago – quite horrifically. Perhaps the worse breakout I’ve ever had in my adult life. In a way I didn’t know how to deal and the recovery took about two weeks which is really long in my books (but I realise this is different for everybody and for every breakout). Today, I thought I’d give some advice on this front, as much as I’m still breaking out; though this time, it’s not so serious and I think more linked to ‘that time of the month’. Now, this isn’t a miracle guide by any means, but I think are some crucial steps that I’ve learnt over the years as well as more recently. If you want, you can share some of your best tips in the comments too and make this a useful discussion for everyone! šŸ™‚ Enjoy!   [See also: My Current Treatments Routine] You’re not …

Current Thoughts At Half Past Ten

My wet hair is wrapped up in a blue towel, and I’m in the midst of my skincare routine – that’s how casual this post is going to be! Originally, I had planned for another bullet journal post, documenting my recent pages (by recent, I mean in the last month or so) but as it stands, British weather has kicked in – it was dark and raining quite heavily. The type where you want to be indoors all day but most of all – where there’s no decent amount of natural lighting for you to take pictures. So I’ve postponed it for now. It’ll likely be up later in the week though I’ve just checked that the weather just isn’t promising for the next few days. I’ll find a way! This post isn’t a filler by any means either. Just moved from Friday’s post to today instead, because I have in fact, been having a lot of thoughts lately and it’s nice to spill once in a while… šŸ˜› On Sunday, I went to my …

The Sunday Catch-Up #3 | Where Am I Going Next?

I realise that it has been three months since we last checked in with each other, so I figured it was time to do another update. It’s been a really rainy weekend which sucks if you had plans for going out, but great for the likes of me who likes staying in sometimes to write! (In fact, it’s the perfect weather to write in, ha.) I like writing these types of posts because it helps me juggle my mind a bit more and lets me know where I am with myself. So as much as it’s a post for you as a reader, it’s also a post for myself, therapeutically. It’s funny but sometimes I don’t even know what’s on my mind! Thinking About Future Plans For This Blog I have been thinking about getting self-hosted for a while (something that I’m still so confused about actually); but the one thing that has been stopping me is my blogging consistency. Although I don’t think I’m where I need to be yet, Ā I do feel positive …

April Monthly Favourites ft. L’Oreal, Bourjois + H&M!

I actually don’t know where April went because for starters, there definitely isn’t a whole lot to show for it on the blog! I apologise on my part, but no dwelling – that’s all in the past. What I did do however, was change up my routine a bit more, so IĀ do have a couple of favourites to show. In the meantime, I’m also working to conclude my Rome Travel SeriesĀ (see recent post here) and to officially accept some blogger awards (long overdue) so expect these posts in the coming weeks. Back to main topic though – favourites! What’s been taking my fancy as of late? L’Oreal Million Lashes Waterproof Mascara Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum FoundationĀ (in 52 Vanilla) Ralph Lauren Big Pony 1 for Women Perfume (purchased as part of set) H&M Sportwear T-shirt in Black * Strong by Zanna Van Dijk Eat Smart by Niomi Smart * Not linked as I understand fashion pieces eventually expire on websites. But I’m sure the brand will display similar item(s). L’Oreal Million Lashes Waterproof Mascara:Ā Truth be told, …

The Sunday Catch-Up #2 | The Power of Eternal Sunshine

Happy Easter everyone! The sun is out. Or rather the sun has been out and in case you didn’t know, UK people really treasure the sun when it’s out! Where I live in particular can have a tendency to rain or just be doom of gloom so people take advantage of it to enjoy the sunshine and outdoors because really…how often is the weather this nice? (Not often at all!) The sun doesn’t go down now until about 8pm which has given me a huge energy boost hence the title of this post. Anyone else? This surge of power is giving me countless of ideas and inspiration for projects this coming season that I thought it’d be nice to check in with you all. Think of this as a miniĀ what’s (been) going on? type of postĀ that I’m happy to share with you all today! šŸ™‚ Long, sunny days remind me of summer…which makes me feel young Okay, I’m not actually old. I mean, I am still young in my mind and my heart šŸ˜‰ but …
