The Beauty Clean-Up #6 (empties) | HUGE Edition!

Overdue is largely an understatement right now but I’m glad I can actively throw away what’s been in my beauty junk box since the last time we spoke. [See: The Beauty Clean-up #5] I’ve been doing some major collecting to the point that my beauty junk box is well and truly overflowing. I need to throw these empty packets and bottles away! This is going to be a particularly long post so to (hopefully) make things easier, I’ll keep each product review as short as possible! + Would repurchase – Will not bother again = Neutral/Indifferent + Simple Micellar Cleansing Water – Simple Toning Cleanser = Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water + Bioderma Sébium H2O + The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid 2% + The Ordinary Niacinamide + Zinc 1% + The Ordinary Azelaic Acid Suspension 10% + The Ordinary Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate 10% + The Ordinary Advanced Retinoid 2% + Boots No7 Youthful Eye Serum + Clinique All About Eyes + Clinique Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief – Clinique Pep-Start 2-in-1 Exfoliating Cleanser * + Eucerin Sun Fluid Mattifying SPF 50+ …

Another The Ordinary Skincare Haul + Future Products to Test!

Today, I’m going to show you my not-so-recent The Ordinary Skincare haul. I’ve actually only just started using some of the products two weeks ago so I can’t really give a first impressions (at least not for everything) but I know the brand is of interest to many people (it’s currently my most viewed post-series). It’s definitely not your average skincare brand, and though the prices speak drugstore it certainly doesn’t feel that way. The products are ground-breaking, scientific and should be used in a certain way so I’ll speak a little about that too. If anything, this post is of benefit to me as much as it is for you if you decide to be a future user. I’m still in the midst of figuring out many of the brand’s products! Featured in this post: Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% (repurchase) Ascorbyl Glucoside Solution 12% Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA Buffet Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 (repurchase) Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate 10% 100% Organic Cold-Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil FYI, I purchased everything from Victoria Health but …

Follow-Up Review on The Ordinary Moisturisers

The hype is real. Part of my Instagram feed is filled with skincare-related posts (even those recommended to me) and I see so many of them talking about The Ordinary and/or showing The Ordinary within their skincare. (I don’t know why I act so surprised – it’s in my skincare routine too!) Just in case you need some more info to fill you in, I managed to find a post by Caroline Hirons that I had read a few months ago! If you missed my last two posts regarding the company and some of its products, you can catch up here and here. If you didn’t, thank you so much for having read it! As promised, here is the remaining chapter of that haul: The Ordinary moisturisers and how I got on with them. Featured in this post: The Azelaic Acid Suspension 10% Vitamin C Suspension 23% + HA Spheres 2% IF YOU ARE USING THESE PRODUCTS/INTERESTED, PLEASE READ THIS SPECIAL NOTE: The Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% is incompatible with both these products. It is recommended to …

Follow-up Review on The Ordinary Skincare

You may have caught up with my quite recent haul: The Ordinary Skincare which I talked about briefly here as a first impressions. Now that it’s been over a month since incorporating some of the products (4 out of 6)* into my routine, I feel that I have acquired a better opinion about them overall. Without a doubt, they have improved my skin but how? Let’s find out! The products featured in this post are:  Advanced Retinoid 2% Lactic Acid 10% + HA 2% Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% *I have not incorporated the Vitamin C moisturiser at all into my routine for reasons explained in my first impressions post. As for the Azelaic Acid Moisturiser – it has finally been dispatched after being out-of-stock since end of November. Chemical Exfoliation I use Advanced Retinoid 2% and Lactic Acid 10% + HA 2% together, one after the other. This step is performed after I have cleansed and toned my skin, 2-3x a week. It has made the biggest difference to my skin and I cannot sing …

The Ordinary Skincare Haul +First Impressions

There has been a hot topic going around on the internet: The Ordinary Skincare. Perhaps you have heard of them already through their parent company Deciem, which is home to skincare brands NIOD and Hylamide. Or if like me, follow (and adore) Wayne Goss on YouTube and have been sold by his recommendations of the brand’s products. In short, The Ordinary offers insane prices for cutting edges products – notably serums, which would otherwise cost you the earth elsewhere. (Okay, not really but you get the gist.)  We’re talking £5/6 per product (with few exceptions) which is practically drugstore pricing, but when concerning serums/treatments, this really gives other brands – drugstore or not, a run for their money. Because it really works. Note: For reference I have combination/oily skin type. Here is what I got and my first impressions thus far: Hyaluronic Acid 2%+B5: Hydration in a bottle. If your skin ever needs a drink, it’s this one. This is slightly sticky, but comfortable to use. It absorbs quite quickly so the stickiness disappears just as quickly too. Overnight magic. …
