My Favourite Beauty Combinations

I have been thinking about this topic for quite some time. It just occurred to me one evening whilst I was laying in bed (the best time for inspiration don’t you think?) and since then, I have been so excited to write this. This year probably marks the year where my routines are maturing. I know what I want to use, what product I’m looking for and which products I like using together or might possibly work well together. It’s less of the wishy-washy stuff and more of the products that really speak for themselves. Functionality over aesthetics. So without further ado, here it is, my favourite beauty combinations. No7 Youthful Eye Serum + Bobbi Brown Hydrating Eye Cream This is my favourite eyecare combo to date! I have long been a fan of the No7 Youthful Eye Serum so I would recommend it as a base for any of your eye creams. For me, once I introduced the Bobbi Brown Hydrating Eye Cream along with it, it was a game-changer. I have been using eye cream …

A Curious LUSH Haul + 1 Throwback

I asked a few weeks ago whether you wanted to read a haul post. It was a stupid question with an obvious answer but it’s always nice to test the waters, isn’t it? Plus it fuels my excitement to share even more. This is only a small fraction of what I purchased with most being from the LUSH Christmas Sale but nevertheless, items that I’m making relevant to my lifestyle as of now. Since I had quite a handful of LUSH products to show you – all except one being entirely new to me, I thought I’d group these into a post of their own. In other words, another haul post is coming after this one…but first, let’s talk all things LUSH shall we? Featured in this post: Sleepy Body Lotion Snowman Shower Jelly (Christmas Exclusive) Bubbly Shower Gel (Christmas Ex.) Buck’s Fizz Body Conditioner (Christmas Ex.) Salt and Peppermint Bark Body Scrub (Christmas Ex.) Shooting Stars Soap (Christmas Ex.) Mask of Magnaminty Self-Preserving Face and Body Mask I haven’t shopped since my trip to …

The Beauty Clean-Up #10 (empties)

The last time I did an Empties was in February but for some reason, it feels much longer than that. (I actually had a slight panic just now thinking this one was my first of the year, haha.) The weather couldn’t be any more bipolar right now. Last week was the warmest of the year, going up to about 22 degrees where I am in the UK. This week seems like such a stark contrast that it’s hard to believe it was ever sunny. In fact, tonight feels a bit more chillier than the previous few days – Spring, where art thou? Regardless of that, I still need to do a clean-out. As a result of a trip to Hong Kong, some empties were disposed of before I came back, so there will be no pictures of those items. I do however, have previous photos to reference it to since I did a whole post on what skincare products I brought with me here! + Would repurchase – Will not bother again = Neutral/Indifferent + …

Review: My Beauty Diary Bird’s Nest Mask

If you remember from my YesStyle Beauty Haul + Experience post, I had hauled two different boxes of sheet masks. One was the NARUKO Rose & Botanic HA Aqua Cubic Hydrating Mask which I have previously reviewed. Today, I am reviewing the My Beauty Diary Bird’s Nest Mask. 🙂 For reference, I have combination/oily skin that can have a tendency to be dehydrated. Let’s begin shall we? What is it? It is a box of 10 sheet masks, designed to hold as much fluid as possible in order to moisten and soften the skin from layers below the epidermis. From the grid, it claims to nourish and brighten, firm and moisturise so it’s definitely a sheet mask that packs a punch (or so it seems). How much does it cost? I purchased mine for £15.51 which is a reasonable price I think. I tried to find a RRP but it was difficult to do so. However, in my experience, the ordinary MBD masks are around  £10/11 per box, and the fancier ones (like this one) …

Hong Kong Super Beauty Haul

Hello friends! I’m sure some of you have been waiting for this post for quite some time since Hong Kong’s shopping scenery is vast – from the affordable to the luxury, you are really spoilt for choice. I always want to buy the whole shop but one only has so much they can take back with them and not to mention, practicality was quite strongly taken into account. To be honest, and I know this may sound ridiculous – but I was worried that I wouldn’t have a lot to show you since I didn’t officially shop until the last few days of my vacation. This shouldn’t be a problem surely, because I should buy items that I’m interested in trying for the benefit of me (i.e. shopping) and not so much for the blog. It is not a quantity contest after all so next time, I will remember to relax more. 😛 In the end, it turned out that I actually hauled more than I thought, when I finally laid all the products on …
