August Monthly Favourites ft. The Ordinary, Innisfree + Bobbi Brown!

It feels like ages since I sat down and talked with everyone but it has only been a solid week of me being away! Really sorry about that. Last Tuesday, I went to a Spa day with two of my very good friends which was something planned months in advance. That took up the full day but sometimes you just need to catch-up with people and life you know? That day, I promised myself to leave technology behind! Realistically, posting on Tuesday or even the following day wasn’t going to happen but I still had plans to post twice last week. Come Thursday evening, I noticed that my throat was starting to feel clogged up which is normally the first sign that I’m coming down with a cold – and that’s exactly what happened. The bad kind too. As if that wasn’t enough, on Friday evening, I noticed I had a peculiar mosquito bite on my leg which actually swell up the following day like a bruised golf ball. Genuinely praying to the Gods that …

Review: Charlotte Tilbury Instant Look in a Palette (Beauty Glow)

You may have read my July Monthly Favourites recently, in which case, if you did, you would have seen that the Charlotte Tilbury Instant Look in a Palette (Beauty Glow) was featured in it. It’s no secret then that this is going to be a positive review! But hear me out – this is a big deal for me in many ways. For one, it’s the first palette that I can make use of 100%. The rest? You’ll have to read below! What is it? It’s marketed as an all-in-one palette that achieves a look in 5 minutes! It’s a straightforward, no-fuss palette that’s numbered from 1-7 which is perfect if you’re a beginner. 1-3 are eyeshadow shades (2 shimmers, 1 matte) 4 – bronzer 5+6 are blusher shades (CT’s ‘swish + pop’ system – see below) 7 – highlight This Beauty Glow palette in particular, promotes a radiant, dreamy look. In fact, it’s inspired by Poppy Delevingne’s wedding makeup (Cara Delevingne’s sister if you didn’t quite work that out). How much does it cost? …

Bullet Journal Staples – What I Use To Make Each Page My Own

My last post about starting my bullet journal got a lot of love and just overall, exceeded my expectations in its response, so thank you so much for all the love! ❤ As promised, I said that I’d write a follow-up post regarding what stationary I use to make each and every page my own. If you’re a student, just graduated or simply a stationary hoarder, then you might find that you don’t need to buy much else to start your bullet journal! Or at least, that’s what I found. Otherwise, here’s an idea of what I use and what you could add to your collection! Featured in this post: LEUCHTTURM 1917 Notebook Medium (A5), Softcover, Dotted STABILO point 88 fine 0.4 Fineliner STABILO BOSS Original Highlighter docrafts ARTISTE Dual Tip Brush Markers (I own all 3 packs) Crayola Supertips Washable Markers (24 pack) ZIG Art & Graphic Twin Marker Assorted Washi Tape (linked is the EBay seller I bought from) Notebook Choice + Paper Quality Before I really talk about the pens and markers, I …

4 Beauty Waters on Trial

It has been trial month for me and I like to think that I’ve been patient enough in testing the products to have an acquired opinion about them! This time we’re talking beauty waters although I’m being quite loose with the term here. I really mean beauty waters in terms of its liquid form but by strict definition, I don’t think the eye makeup remover would pass as a beauty water! Otherwise, everything else is quite multi-functional; helping me prep my skin prior to more skincare goodness and/or makeup. These are perhaps the most beauty waters I’ve owned and used in the same beauty cycle so you can say I’m stepping into new territory! Featured in this post: Bioderma Sébium H2O Nivea Double Effect Eye Makeup Remover La Roche-Posay Serozinc Avène Thermal Spring Water The Micellar Water I wouldn’t say I swear by micellar waters because you shouldn’t get lazy about washing your face twice (i.e. double-cleanse) but I don’t think I can extract them from my life either. It’s what I use as my ‘morning-cleanse’ …

June Monthly Favourites ft. Bioderma, Avène & LUSH

How is everyone? I know I’m rather late on this Favourites post given that we’re into the second or so week of July, but it’s definitely not a post I want to miss! Last month, I didn’t have any beauty favourites because I was in the midst of testing so many products that I needed to give more time for an opinion overall. Plus, I didn’t want to force any product as favourite. Honesty is the best policy after all. Otherwise, it was a laid-back month which I think, showed. It was my birthday in June – any other June babies too? We had a heatwave for a couple of days, going up to around 30 degrees so you’ll see some products here that helped me deal with that. Sometimes, I’m not sure how to deal with my skin in warmer climates, but my game seems more solid this season like I’ve finally figured it out.   ‘How?’, you ask. Let’s find out: Bioderma Sebium H2O Micellar Water Avène Thermal Spring Water L’Oréal Paris Pure Clay …
