Empties in Ten #2

I thought I would be posting this empties instalment much sooner since my last update, but it proved to be a challenge in the end to make it to 10.* Initially I was finishing product after product but then everything else just took its time. Despite this post being put together ‘later than expected’, nothing has actually gone wrong. If anything, it just means I am being efficient with my products and to be honest, there are some days where I’m much more lower maintenance than other days so I just need to acknowledge that. Do you as a blogger (or reader) sometimes feel the need to finish up products quickly? Sometimes I do but then I always get so fascinated by how long the last remaining bits of a product can still last! I’ve recently moved onto an almost entirely new skincare routine so you’ll be seeing a lot of skincare empties in this piece. Coupled with that, I have a few makeup essentials here and there plus one hair product. Enjoy! *I say …

May Monthly Favourites | 2019

Oh how I wish it was May again! We are closer to July now but I hate missing Favourites so here it is in all its glory. I’m working on my June Monthly Favourites simultaneously too so you’ll probably end up seeing a lot of favourites in a narrow timeframe. In my last update, I had this idea to make my Favourites post themed from now on and a lot of you really warmed up to the idea which is great! Last month’s theme (technically not really last month, but we can pretend) was Tranquility. The theme for the month of April is: Intuition. Lately on Netflix #3

I used to watch a lot of drama series growing up. Now I am finding that I don’t have half as much time to watch the amount that I used to but I am cherishing it more. Both the time and content. Is this what getting older is about? 😅 (Today happens to be my birthday.) I try to watch dramas that have more substance to them – be it in storytelling or character development. Both? Even better. I suspect many internet users do this already but I have to research something before I begin watching (without the spoilers of course). There are a fair few where the trailer has peaked my interest, though I generally avoid longer trailers because they tend to spoil the whole story in 2 minutes. Here’s a list of my Netflix picks since my last update: Black Mirror (Season 5) I am actually very new to the whole Black Mirror world but I have heard many passing comments about its very nature so in some ways, I knew what I …

April Monthly Favourites | 2019

So I’m going to try something a bit new when it comes to writing my Favourites. I think it would be a nice touch to make it themed and I don’t necessarily mean being descriptive about the seasons because we all know how messed up that is at the moment! (The sun has decided to come out today though so there’s that.) The theme will mostly be down to how I have been feeling overall that month or it could be something/someone I’m feeling deeply inspired by. I’m not someone who follows trends head-on so I thought this would be a nice approach in tying all my favourites together in one group intuitively. It may work. It may not work. But we’re trying it out! Empties in Tens #1

Are Empties still popular nowadays? I genuinely have no idea since I seldom watch beauty videos on YouTube anymore (I’ve moved over to the fitness corner) but what I do know is that I enjoy reading them as much as I enjoy writing them. Reviewing 10 empties at a time isn’t exactly a new idea but I definitely felt I needed more control in this aspect as more often than not, my empties bag gets out of hand and then I end up with an even bigger challenge of compiling the post. To make things even easier, I’m going to automatically throw out any empties that are simply repeats/go-tos and leave behind those that are either new or re-visited. A special shout-out goes to Rachael from Helpless Whilst Drying since she has been conducting this style of post for quite some time and I always thought it was a brilliant idea. What’s even more brilliant is that she collectively records the Empties into an excel spreadsheet to keep track of usage and spending in an …
