A Handful of K-Beauty Masks

A few months ago, I hauled quite a lot of beauty products which included a total of five sheet mask singles hence the title. Today, I am back to give you my mini reviews of them. I was going to call them¬†first impressions but to be honest, I think my opinions will be a little too descriptive to call it that. Also, in my experience, I have never had a differing opinion from the first, when I tried the same sheet mask again. If in the future, I come across more K-beauty sheet mask singles, then I will make this into a reoccurring series. ūüôā Let’s begin, shall we? TONYMOLY I‚Äôm Real Sheet Masks in ‚ÄėRice‚Äô: This is technically not my first time trying out Tonymoly masks, but it is my first time trying one from the I’m Real line. The fit for me was generally good as are the hole placements; however, the area between the nose and lips is too wide therefore covering up most of my upper-lip! There are slits too that …

6 Months After Using More The Ordinary Skincare

I haven’t talked about The Ordinary in a couple of months (with the exception of favourites and empties post) so I thought now would be the perfect time to update you all on my continued experience since my last post. So far, I’ve been mostly impressed and it gives me joy that word has gotten around about this amazing brand. I’m almost sure that it needs no introduction now because it’s really taken the industry by storm.¬†‘Work until you no longer have to introduce yourself’, they say. That sums up The Ordinary’s situation; just that it may have happened much sooner than anticipated! They have done the unthinkable. Featured in this post: Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA Buffet Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% Ascorbyl Glucoside Solution 12% Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate 10% 100% Organic Cold-Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil Lactic Acid 10% + HA 2% Advanced Retinoid 2% Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 Azelaic Acid Suspension 10% I will say though – the ONE product that I haven’t continued use with is the Vitamin C Suspension …

The Beauty Clean-Up #5 (empties)

We’re onto #5! Wow. That actually feels like some sort of achievement¬†because right at the start of this journey,¬†I just wanted to use up more of my beauty products, some of which weren’t being touched and by doing so, reduce wastage. Now that I’ve gotten to this number, ¬†I’m using up products that I’m trying out but liking at the same time meaning that¬†I’ve put more emphasis on how I shop and not just buying for the sake of buying. Completing an empties post is as decluttering for the mind as it is for the home (literally). So now, comes the time to empty my junk box again to welcome Spring and to give myself an excuse to buy new products! (There’s still so many brands and products I need to try out!) Let’s Start: + Would repurchase ‚Äď Will not bother again = Neutral/Indifferent +¬†SANA Soy Milk Moisture Cleansing Wash –¬†Nivea¬†Daily Essentials¬†Cr√®me Care Cleansing Cream Wash + Clean & Clear¬†Exfoliating Daily Wash +¬†LUSH Ultrabland +¬†Boots Botanics Rosewater Toning Spritz +¬†Earth Therapeutics Brightening Black Pearl …

3 K-Beauty Sheet Masks You Need To Know About (+ Try!)

I remember when I was younger – in my teens and on my family trips back to Hong Kong for the summer, I would buy and try out Asian skincare and even some less well-known Western skincare brands. This was way before online shopping was considered a) secure and b) extremely convenient. If you have family or even friends, who quite regularly go back ‘home’ or at least to their relatives’ motherland, then you may know about asking them to help buy you some skincare as a souvenir (yes, it’s a thing!). Flip to the present, and you’re able to online-shop these products – whether they are necessarily¬†cheaper is another story but the heart always wants what it wants. I have had¬†one shopping experience on YesStyle and a few on Ebay regarding Korean skincare…but shipping time can be as long as two weeks. Now I’m happy to share that this might change¬†very soon¬†(my UK readers, I’m looking at you) because I actually bought a few K-beauty goodies at TK Maxx. Featured in this post:¬† The …

The Beauty Clean-Up #2 (empties)

Collecting¬†empties is like collecting trash, isn’t it? You laugh but¬†isn’t it just true! It has become even realer now that I have a shoe box to accumulate the ‘trash’ within otherwise my room just looks strangely cluttered. Instead, I have an¬†organised mess¬†which looks a tad bit more presentable and easier to maintain. As such, I’ve collected a certain amount and would very gladly dispose of them…but only after I kindly talk to you about them first! Click here to see my first edition which I really enjoyed making. + Would repurchase – Will not bother again = Neutral/Indifferent – Garnier Ultimate Blends Shampoo with Coconut Oil & Cocoa Butter – Dove Daily Moisture 2 in 1 with Pro-Moisture Complex + YesTo Carrots Nourishing Shampoo + YesTo Carrots Pampering Conditioner + Biore UV Aqua Rich Watery Essence SPF 50+ PA++++ – Lancome Genifique Youth Activator = BareMinerals Skinlongevity Vital Power Infusion (sample) = Premium Dr. Althea Water Glow Skin Renewal Hydrogel Mask + My Beauty Diary Face Masks in ‘Hyaluronic Acid’ and ‘Aloe’ = Innisfree Capsule …
