Some Advice For Saving Money

If I’m completely honest with you, I never really struggled with money in the sense that I always had some money saved over. I was taught quite young to save money once I had a set weekly allowance. I even remember that a lot of it was saved for my own spending money when we would go to Hong Kong as a family. (The currency conversion was amazing back then.) Once we were back, I’d start saving all over again and it’d be like a race to save more money than I previously had. That was motivating. When I say I never really struggled with money, I don’t mean that I’m rich or from a privileged background. Absolutely not. (Although nothing wrong with that either. It’s all about good temperament really.) I just think because I started early, once I got into my teens, I could appreciate buying my own clothes and other items with the money I’ve saved for some time. For some reason, that felt like a really cool and grown-up thing to …

Bullet Journal Planning & Flatlays

Alas! The post that I was meant to have up last week, if only it didn’t rain! (Typical British weather, really.) It’s getting to the end of August now and needless to say, this is a late post in-the-making so expect a long one. 😉 (If you’re a follower of some time, you’re probably used to my long posts by now; if you’re new – I’m sorry! But you’ll have to get used to this, haha!) Enjoy! One of the things that I love using my bullet journal for is to list down products and ideas for the blog. These may be products for favourites, to buy and try out in the future and for review. I’ve kept these pages really simple and information-friendly – it’s strictly a list with a note beside it if I think it’s necessary. I’ve since listed my favourites when on-the-go, on my phone, using the app Google Keep. I even list my to-be-empties and tick them off once I’ve 100% finished. It sounds silly but sometimes I actually forget …

Current Thoughts At Half Past Ten

My wet hair is wrapped up in a blue towel, and I’m in the midst of my skincare routine – that’s how casual this post is going to be! Originally, I had planned for another bullet journal post, documenting my recent pages (by recent, I mean in the last month or so) but as it stands, British weather has kicked in – it was dark and raining quite heavily. The type where you want to be indoors all day but most of all – where there’s no decent amount of natural lighting for you to take pictures. So I’ve postponed it for now. It’ll likely be up later in the week though I’ve just checked that the weather just isn’t promising for the next few days. I’ll find a way! This post isn’t a filler by any means either. Just moved from Friday’s post to today instead, because I have in fact, been having a lot of thoughts lately and it’s nice to spill once in a while… 😛 On Sunday, I went to my …

Bullet Journal Staples – What I Use To Make Each Page My Own

My last post about starting my bullet journal got a lot of love and just overall, exceeded my expectations in its response, so thank you so much for all the love! ❤ As promised, I said that I’d write a follow-up post regarding what stationary I use to make each and every page my own. If you’re a student, just graduated or simply a stationary hoarder, then you might find that you don’t need to buy much else to start your bullet journal! Or at least, that’s what I found. Otherwise, here’s an idea of what I use and what you could add to your collection! The Sunday Catch-Up #3 | Where Am I Going Next?

I realise that it has been three months since we last checked in with each other, so I figured it was time to do another update. It’s been a really rainy weekend which sucks if you had plans for going out, but great for the likes of me who likes staying in sometimes to write! (In fact, it’s the perfect weather to write in, ha.) I like writing these types of posts because it helps me juggle my mind a bit more and lets me know where I am with myself. So as much as it’s a post for you as a reader, it’s also a post for myself, therapeutically. It’s funny but sometimes I don’t even know what’s on my mind! Thinking About Future Plans For This Blog I have been thinking about getting self-hosted for a while (something that I’m still so confused about actually); but the one thing that has been stopping me is my blogging consistency. Although I don’t think I’m where I need to be yet,  I do feel positive …
