Why Blogging Will Always Have a Place Above YouTube

In truth, I have watched YouTube longer than I have been reading blogs and occupying my own combined. However my disinterest in YouTube (with the exception of things like music videos, trailers, snippets of TV talk shows which I guess, technically don’t count) has been growing by the day. If anything, 2017 YouTube was quite the step backwards, at least for me – the shadiness, the slander, the multiple copies…I really could go on. Gone are those days of 2004/05 funny videos (actual funny content) that we could share. Gone are those days of 2008/09 how-to/beauty videos that was simple with no unnecessary drama. Unfiltered, minimal editing (but still effective) with a relatable attitude. Nowadays, I find myself not being able to relate. Is it just me? If you know the YouTube drama that started 2018, then you know. If you don’t know, then maybe do some research (it won’t be hard to find, it really went global and there are response videos all over YouTube too). Apparently there has been other drama too in the beauty …

All The Things Blogging & Writing Taught Me

When my blog was re-vamped and re-born circa September 2016 to how it still looks now, I knew that it would be an ongoing development project like no other but I didn’t quite know how it would pan out and what I would gain from it. I just knew that I wanted to share something to someone. Over a year later, I’m happy to speak about this process and how it has really shaped my entire year…and I couldn’t thank you enough as the reader of this now, whether as a stranger or as a friend. (But ultimately, I hope you stay as a friend.) 🙂 One of the first posts that was really popular during this new age was  All The Things Makeup Taught Me (+Story Time) and though unrelated, this is another post following in that same format. Welcome to another instalment to my unintentional ‘All The Things…’ series to round the year off! Blogging taught me that I do actually have an opinion One of the solid memories that I have from high …

Bullet Journal Staples – What I Use To Make Each Page My Own

My last post about starting my bullet journal got a lot of love and just overall, exceeded my expectations in its response, so thank you so much for all the love! ❤ As promised, I said that I’d write a follow-up post regarding what stationary I use to make each and every page my own. If you’re a student, just graduated or simply a stationary hoarder, then you might find that you don’t need to buy much else to start your bullet journal! Or at least, that’s what I found. Otherwise, here’s an idea of what I use and what you could add to your collection! The Sunday Catch-Up #3 | Where Am I Going Next?

I realise that it has been three months since we last checked in with each other, so I figured it was time to do another update. It’s been a really rainy weekend which sucks if you had plans for going out, but great for the likes of me who likes staying in sometimes to write! (In fact, it’s the perfect weather to write in, ha.) I like writing these types of posts because it helps me juggle my mind a bit more and lets me know where I am with myself. So as much as it’s a post for you as a reader, it’s also a post for myself, therapeutically. It’s funny but sometimes I don’t even know what’s on my mind! Thinking About Future Plans For This Blog I have been thinking about getting self-hosted for a while (something that I’m still so confused about actually); but the one thing that has been stopping me is my blogging consistency. Although I don’t think I’m where I need to be yet,  I do feel positive …

May Monthly Favourites – Lifestyle EDIT

I like to keep it as real as possible on this blog. And as it turns out for the month of May, I don’t have many beauty or fashion favourites to offer you. I can only think of two products off the top of my head that could make the cut, but that’s not really a sufficient amount for a Favourites post. I’m currently in the process of trying out a lot of new products but most are still too new to form a full opinion, let alone be considered a Favourite. Instead, I’m offering you my most recent Lifestyle Favourites which I feel is most appropriate in summing up the month! So…let’s begin shall we?
