The Beauty Clean-Up #9 (empties)

This is starting to really feel like a series now, eh? I’ve made it a bit of a habit to look at my old empties which comes in so handy because I actually forget what I’ve used before or what I really liked/disliked. You see…it’s like my personal notebook on digital space. I’m the type of person who reads my own blog post even after I’ve long posted it…does anyone else do this? 😳 (I know it seems a bit narcissistic but I think it’s so important to like your work even if it’s not actually your job!) This time next week, I’ll have arrived in Hong Kong but since my box was getting so full and I wanted to clean before I go, I thought it was the perfect time to curate another one of these posts before I do the whole throw-out. 🙂 Enjoy! + Would repurchase – Will not bother again = Neutral/Indifferent =/= TONYMOLY I’m Real Sheet Masks in ‘Rice’ and ‘Broccoli’ +/= Nature Republic Real Nature Sheet Masks in ‘Royal Jelly’ and ‘Shea …

A Handful of K-Beauty Masks

A few months ago, I hauled quite a lot of beauty products which included a total of five sheet mask singles hence the title. Today, I am back to give you my mini reviews of them. I was going to call them first impressions but to be honest, I think my opinions will be a little too descriptive to call it that. Also, in my experience, I have never had a differing opinion from the first, when I tried the same sheet mask again. If in the future, I come across more K-beauty sheet mask singles, then I will make this into a reoccurring series. 🙂 Let’s begin, shall we? TONYMOLY I’m Real Sheet Masks in ‘Rice’: This is technically not my first time trying out Tonymoly masks, but it is my first time trying one from the I’m Real line. The fit for me was generally good as are the hole placements; however, the area between the nose and lips is too wide therefore covering up most of my upper-lip! There are slits too that …

Review: It’s Skin Collagen Nutrition Eye Cream

I’m back with another review! This time, it’s a K-beauty item that I bought online which you may recognise from my YesStyle Haul post. I’ve been testing it out for over a month – the only eye cream that I’ve been using day and night actually, so I think it’s time to finally do a write-up! Enjoy! 🙂 What is it?  It’s an eye cream that’s part of the It’s Skin Collagen Nutrition skincare line which I’ve never tried before. In fact, I’ve never tried this brand before either. This eye cream (supposedly) promotes elasticity and moisture to the eye-area. How much does it cost? Its actual price seems to be around the £15 mark but I got this on sale on YesStyle for around £6/7. Considering that the tube is 25ml as opposed to the typical 15ml, this is a bargain! Where from? The brand itself is from South Korea. The actual product, I purchased from YesStyle. Who is it for?  When researching the brand, I found it very interesting. So It’s Skin realised the skin …

YesStyle Beauty Haul + Experience! | What Am I Trying Out Next?

To say that I’ve done a bit of damage this month is probably an understatement, but I know myself – I generally don’t shop skincare and beauty that often, and when I do – it is normally a real essential which is more than forgivable. The last few beauty items that I bought were a drugstore mascara and 2 sunscreens which is hardly wild and were purchases done perhaps close to two months now. Here’s the deal: I sometimes think you shouldn’t be so hard on yourself when spending. You deserve to treat yourself once in a while! Unless of course, you have too much of the same thing which might be a real problem. But in my case, I’ve been good. I’ve been using up products (See: The Beauty Clean-Up Series) and due to use up more from my current skincare routine…so in a way, I’m being organised for my next routine. (Is there ever a real justification on spending money other than wanting to spend and buy something pretty?) 😛 Let’s start shall we? (From …

3 K-Beauty Sheet Masks You Need To Know About (+ Try!)

I remember when I was younger – in my teens and on my family trips back to Hong Kong for the summer, I would buy and try out Asian skincare and even some less well-known Western skincare brands. This was way before online shopping was considered a) secure and b) extremely convenient. If you have family or even friends, who quite regularly go back ‘home’ or at least to their relatives’ motherland, then you may know about asking them to help buy you some skincare as a souvenir (yes, it’s a thing!). Flip to the present, and you’re able to online-shop these products – whether they are necessarily cheaper is another story but the heart always wants what it wants. I have had one shopping experience on YesStyle and a few on Ebay regarding Korean skincare…but shipping time can be as long as two weeks. Now I’m happy to share that this might change very soon (my UK readers, I’m looking at you) because I actually bought a few K-beauty goodies at TK Maxx. Featured in this post:  The …
