Hong Kong Super Beauty Haul

Hello friends! I’m sure some of you have been waiting for this post for quite some time since Hong Kong’s shopping scenery is vast – from the affordable to the luxury, you are really spoilt for choice. I always want to buy the whole shop but one only has so much they can take back with them and not to mention, practicality was quite strongly taken into account. To be honest, and I know this may sound ridiculous – but I was worried that I wouldn’t have a lot to show you since I didn’t officially shop until the last few days of my vacation. This shouldn’t be a problem surely, because I should buy items that I’m interested in trying for the benefit of me (i.e. shopping) and not so much for the blog. It is not a quantity contest after all so next time, I will remember to relax more. čśŤ In the end, it turned out that I actually hauled more than I thought, when I finally laid all the products on …

A Beauty Haul + A Few First Impressions

I’ve been doing a whole lot of shopping lately; and this post doesn’t even cover everything that I’ve bought in the last month or so. In fact, I went shopping again on Sunday and bought some more beauty goodies. I’ve also invited a couple of new separates and outerwear into my wardrobe too but I’ll have to leave that for another post! I know some of my readers and fellow bloggers participate in no-buy months/spending bans and whilst I don’t think I’m a self-professed shopaholic, I do haves waves of going wild and this is a perfect example of one of them. I imagine that I won’t be shopping like this again until February when I’m away to Hong Kong for Chinese New Year so there: that is my spending ban planned out! čśŤ I’d say this haul is quite equal parts in both makeup and skincare – enjoy! čÖé Featured in this post: BarePRO Performance Wear Liquid Foundation SPF 20 (in shade ’12 Natural Warm’) Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel TONYMOLY I’m Real Sheet …

YesStyle Beauty Haul + Experience! | What Am I Trying Out Next?

To say that I’ve done a bit of damage this month is probably an understatement, but┬áI know myself – I generally don’t shop skincare and beauty that often, and when I do – it is normally a real essential which is more than forgivable. The last few┬ábeauty items that I bought were a drugstore mascara and 2 sunscreens which is hardly wild and were purchases done perhaps close to two months now. Here’s the deal: I sometimes think you shouldn’t be so hard on yourself when spending. You deserve to treat yourself once in a while! Unless of course, you have too much of the same thing which might be a real problem. But in my case, I’ve been good. I’ve been using up products (See: The Beauty Clean-Up Series) and due to use up more from my current skincare routine…so in a way, I’m being organised for my next routine. (Is there ever a real justification on spending money other than wanting to spend and buy something pretty?) čśŤ Let’s start shall we? (From …

Another The Ordinary Skincare Haul + Future Products to Test!

Today, I’m going to show you my not-so-recent The Ordinary Skincare haul. I’ve actually only just started using some of the products two weeks ago┬áso I can’t really give a first impressions (at least not for everything)┬ábut I know the brand is of interest to many people (it’s currently my most viewed post-series). It’s definitely not your average skincare brand, and though the prices speak drugstore it certainly doesn’t feel that way. The products are ground-breaking, scientific and should be used in a certain way so I’ll speak a little about that too. If anything, this post is of benefit to me as much as it is for you if you decide to be a future user. I’m still in the midst of figuring out many of the brand’s products! Featured in this post: Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% (repurchase) Ascorbyl Glucoside Solution 12% Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA Buffet Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 (repurchase) Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate 10% 100% Organic Cold-Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil FYI, I purchased everything from Victoria Health but …

3 K-Beauty Sheet Masks You Need To Know About (+ Try!)

I remember when I was younger – in my teens and on my family trips back to Hong Kong for the summer, I would buy and try out Asian skincare and even some less well-known Western skincare brands. This was way before online shopping was considered a) secure and b) extremely convenient. If you have family or even friends, who quite regularly go back ‘home’ or at least to their relatives’ motherland, then you may know about asking them to help buy you some skincare as a souvenir (yes, it’s a thing!). Flip to the present, and you’re able to online-shop these products – whether they are necessarily┬ácheaper is another story but the heart always wants what it wants. I have had┬áone shopping experience on YesStyle and a few on Ebay regarding Korean skincare…but shipping time can be as long as two weeks. Now I’m happy to share that this might change┬ávery soon┬á(my UK readers, I’m looking at you) because I actually bought a few K-beauty goodies at TK Maxx. Featured in this post:┬á The …
