A Beauty Haul + A Few First Impressions

I’ve been doing a whole lot of shopping lately; and this post doesn’t even cover everything that I’ve bought in the last month or so. In fact, I went shopping again on Sunday and bought some more beauty goodies. I’ve also invited a couple of new separates and outerwear into my wardrobe too but I’ll have to leave that for another post! I know some of my readers and fellow bloggers participate in no-buy months/spending bans and whilst I don’t think I’m a self-professed shopaholic, I do haves waves of going wild and this is a perfect example of one of them. I imagine that I won’t be shopping like this again until February when I’m away to Hong Kong for Chinese New Year so there: that is my spending ban planned out! ūüėõ I’d say this haul is quite equal parts in both makeup and skincare – enjoy! ūüôā Featured in this post: BarePRO Performance Wear Liquid Foundation SPF 20 (in shade ’12 Natural Warm’) Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel TONYMOLY I’m Real Sheet …

3 K-Beauty Sheet Masks You Need To Know About (+ Try!)

I remember when I was younger – in my teens and on my family trips back to Hong Kong for the summer, I would buy and try out Asian skincare and even some less well-known Western skincare brands. This was way before online shopping was considered a) secure and b) extremely convenient. If you have family or even friends, who quite regularly go back ‘home’ or at least to their relatives’ motherland, then you may know about asking them to help buy you some skincare as a souvenir (yes, it’s a thing!). Flip to the present, and you’re able to online-shop these products – whether they are necessarily¬†cheaper is another story but the heart always wants what it wants. I have had¬†one shopping experience on YesStyle and a few on Ebay regarding Korean skincare…but shipping time can be as long as two weeks. Now I’m happy to share that this might change¬†very soon¬†(my UK readers, I’m looking at you) because I actually bought a few K-beauty goodies at TK Maxx. Featured in this post:¬† The …

The Ordinary Skincare Haul +First Impressions

There has been a hot topic going around on the internet: The Ordinary Skincare. Perhaps you have heard of them already through their parent company Deciem, which is home to skincare brands NIOD and Hylamide.¬†Or if like me, follow (and adore) Wayne Goss on YouTube and have been sold by his recommendations of the brand’s products. In short, The Ordinary offers¬†insane prices for cutting edges products – notably serums, which would otherwise cost you the earth elsewhere. (Okay, not really but you get the gist.)¬† We’re talking ¬£5/6 per product (with few exceptions) which is practically drugstore pricing, but when concerning serums/treatments, this really gives other brands – drugstore or not, a run for their money. Because it really works. Note: For reference I have combination/oily skin type. Here is what I got and my first impressions thus far: Hyaluronic Acid 2%+B5:¬†Hydration in a bottle. If your skin ever needs a drink, it’s this one.¬†This is slightly sticky, but comfortable to use. It absorbs quite quickly so the stickiness disappears¬†just as quickly too. Overnight magic. …

Two Clinique Repurchases +Mini Reviews

I don’t think I’ve actually clarified what my¬†favourite skincare brand¬† is but if you were to ask me, I would definitely mention Clinique. It all started with one product that one of my good friends recommended to me a few years back (FYI, it’s the Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel…) and ever since, I have gradually tried more products from them. It’s still a modest amount but enough to say I love the brand – I have yet to find a product from Clinique that I don’t like so much. Shall we start? In short, I repurchased the Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm and the All About Eyes Eye Cream. Topped with this, Debenhams were doing a 10% off AND when you buy 2 or more items, you receive a freebie kit. It was too good of an offer to not take up! In the freebie kit, I received: All About Eyes Eye Cream (7ml) * Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion+ (30ml) Superdefense Daily Defense Moisturizer SPF 20 (7ml) Superdefense Night Recovery Moisturiser (7ml) High Impact …
