October Monthly Favourites ft. Naruko, Bare Minerals + NYX

I’ve told you time and time again that Favourites are my favourite to write (along with my Empties post) and somehow, if it were possible, this is the most exciting one I have to share with you! Perhaps it’s due to the fact that this month, it’s much more makeup-heavy than usual (I tend to be more skincare-heavy) and so I’m exploring new heights. I’ve been so excited for autumn/winter and for once in my life, I’m incredibly into makeup. I mean, I’ve been on a makeup frenzy. I’m generally quite simple with my makeup but a few Mondays ago, I just went for it. I felt like getting a whole load of nude lip colours and I’ve been exploring eyeshadow more too. Don’t hesitate to check out my beauty haul to see what else I got! 🙂 Featured in this post: Naruko Rose & Botanic HA Aqua Cubic Hydrating Mask EX Bare Minerals Bare Pro Liquid Foundation in ‘Warm Natural 12’ Maybelline Color Tattoo in ‘On and On Bronze’ NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in ‘Cannes’ …

September Monthly Favourites ft. Superdrug, Essie + LUSH!

Fall is here and I’m so excited for it! It’s not quite cold yet but my wardrobe is slowly transitioning to colder weather. For me, I would always choose fall/winter > spring/summer – my skin loves it, my wardrobe loves it, I love it. 😝 This month, it is undoubtedly, unapologetically, all about skincare with two exceptions. Don’t worry, next month you’ll see me busting out all my Autumn shades in my makeup! (I already dug out two awesome cream shadows last night that I almost forgot about…spoiler alert but maybe you will see them next month?) Featured in this post: Superdrug Vitamin E Facial Scrub Superdrug Vitamin E Hot Cloth Cleanser Innisfree Sebum & Trouble Zero Lotion | Forest For Men Line (sample) Essie Nail Lacquer in ‘312 spin the bottle’ Essie Nail Lacquer in ‘6 ballet slippers’ LUSH Dream Cream Keep your skin smooth and everything else will follow: There’s a myth that surrounds exfoliation I feel…as if you have to saw away at your skin like sandpaper. That’s really not the case! I have …

August Monthly Favourites ft. The Ordinary, Innisfree + Bobbi Brown!

It feels like ages since I sat down and talked with everyone but it has only been a solid week of me being away! Really sorry about that. Last Tuesday, I went to a Spa day with two of my very good friends which was something planned months in advance. That took up the full day but sometimes you just need to catch-up with people and life you know? That day, I promised myself to leave technology behind! Realistically, posting on Tuesday or even the following day wasn’t going to happen but I still had plans to post twice last week. Come Thursday evening, I noticed that my throat was starting to feel clogged up which is normally the first sign that I’m coming down with a cold – and that’s exactly what happened. The bad kind too. As if that wasn’t enough, on Friday evening, I noticed I had a peculiar mosquito bite on my leg which actually swell up the following day like a bruised golf ball. Genuinely praying to the Gods that …

July Monthly Favourites ft. Charlotte Tilbury, H&M + Etude House!

I actually couldn’t tell you what happened in July, except for the fact that I watched a lot of Wimbledon tennis for most of it. Otherwise the month just flew by as if we just skipped a month and said hello to August which also – what’s that all about?! I can however tell you what I’ve been really loving in the past month and wouldn’t you believe it…there is only one skincare product! As such, I’ll start with that first. Featured in this post: The Body Shop Mineral & Ginger Warming Mask Charlotte Tilbury Instant Look In A Palette in ‘Beauty Glow’ Etude House Drawing Eyebrow Duo in ‘#1 Dark Brown’ H&M Precision Sponge in ‘Natural White’ Palmolive Milk & Honey Shampoo VO5 Revive Me Daily Conditioner   Breaking out? You need a skin conditioner: A few weeks ago, I had one of the most horrific breakouts in my adult life, which I’m still trying to work out (more on that in another post). I masked a lot in those two weeks of recovering (!!) which lead …

June Monthly Favourites ft. Bioderma, Avène & LUSH

How is everyone? I know I’m rather late on this Favourites post given that we’re into the second or so week of July, but it’s definitely not a post I want to miss! Last month, I didn’t have any beauty favourites because I was in the midst of testing so many products that I needed to give more time for an opinion overall. Plus, I didn’t want to force any product as favourite. Honesty is the best policy after all. Otherwise, it was a laid-back month which I think, showed. It was my birthday in June – any other June babies too? We had a heatwave for a couple of days, going up to around 30 degrees so you’ll see some products here that helped me deal with that. Sometimes, I’m not sure how to deal with my skin in warmer climates, but my game seems more solid this season like I’ve finally figured it out.   ‘How?’, you ask. Let’s find out: Bioderma Sebium H2O Micellar Water Avène Thermal Spring Water L’Oréal Paris Pure Clay …
