The Fitness YouTubers I like to Follow

Welcome back again! Today, I thought I’d write about my favourite fitness influencers that I like to follow on YouTube. I’ve been quite good lately in getting some exercise done on a weekly basis. I feel like I’ve finally found my “balance” in this area whereas years ago, I would’ve struggled or just not have bothered with exercise because I thought I wasn’t good at it. Now it’s become one of my favourite hobbies. To give you a bit of background, I was technically bad at sport in high school. Thinking back, part of it stemmed from truly believing that I was bad at team sport and therefore I could not contribute much. I let that beat my confidence. But that’s the thing. Good exercise starts with positive thinking and this is the part which I needed to change the most in order to grow. I needed to start believing that actually, I was not as bad at fitness as I had once thought. I was actually quite decent I might add.  At that time …

Lately on Netflix #2

It has gotten colder as of late and you know what? – I’m not even mad. I genuinely love the autumn/winter season. I love the cold breeze and how smooth my skin feels. Anyways – today is not a post about skincare or makeup. It’s about Netflix. You know, the other thing that we snuggle up to regardless of season because TV kinda died. Or at least I don’t watch TV anymore. (Please comment regarding this – I’m actually interested to find who still watches TV because I really don’t nowadays.) I really enjoyed writing the last part so I thought I’d fill you in on what I’ve been watching lately…again. Here’s to #2! A Silent Voice Okay, let’s start off with the anime first! I would say that this year is all about going outside of…I guess not comfort-zone because I am generally open to trying out different genres but definitely stuff that I wouldn’t normally watch. One night I fancied watching a film and this one caught my eye on Netflix randomly and …

Lately on Netflix #1

For those who consistently blog whilst maintaining a 9-5 job – how do you do it? Admittedly, I have been particularly tired since entering the new season (although yay! for Autumn – my preferred season). I have been waking up around 6am and ugh – it is so dark. Luckily, I’ve booked some upcoming days off so I hope to relax my mind and catch up with more sleep as I’ve been surviving on 6 hours sleep mostly which in the summer is fine but rather wearing in the darker months. (I’ve decided that I’m never going to fix my late-night owl ways.) Anyways, I had some time to write and thought I’d kick things off by reviewing what I’ve been watching lately. I’m super late to the Netflix game – don’t ask how but let’s just say I’m glad to be on the bandwagon now. To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before I wanted to start with the most obvious one because I feel like lots of girls have been fan-girling over how cute …

Life Update: Settling In

Note: I drafted this post weeks and weeks ago but have only just edited the photos so by the time I post this, it’s not a recent experience that I’m referring to however I still wanted to get this up! Enjoy. It’s a Saturday and I’m officially doing nothing. It’s approaching the afternoon period and I’m still in my lounge wear and hoodie but that’s okay – I live for these moments and sometimes, it’s just nice to be super comfy. The summer has finally calmed down and I don’t mind so much because summer just aggravates my skin and my eczema can start to play up too. This cooler weather suits me just fine. I may or may not do my makeup later but for now, I’m enjoying having my skin bare as on most weeks, I wear makeup to work. I’ve been loving it actually. I thought I would hate morning routine but it’s now become one of my favourite things. What shall I wear today? It’s fun to play a bit of …

26 Life Lessons at 26

Note: my birthday was last month. Some of the sentences won’t make as much sense time-wise because I wrote them on the week of my birthday but let’s just stick to it, shall we? My birthday surpassed a few weeks ago and to make things ironic, I am writing about some life lessons that I’ve acquired through the years. That’s right – I’m 26 this year! (Not that I can believe it myself but I don’t flinch when I say this. Side note – I still feel like I’m 21!) Some of these will be through coming-of-age, others through the university/trying to adult stage but I’m sure majority will be from the true ‘adulting’ experience. Enjoy! 1. Learning to Accept Compliments I used to be that awkward child who was so modest whenever I heard any compliments towards me that I wonder if I ever believed them myself. Probably not whereas now I say thank you every time I hear one. ‘You have really good hair!’…‘Oh really?’…Er…yeah, why would you doubt that? 2. Saying ‘No’ High school me …
