March Monthly Favourites | 2019

I am extremely happy to show you the Favourites that I have compiled for this March! It’s not often that I don’t have a beauty favourite to share – in fact, this might be a first – but since I had so many other favourites, it’s probably for the best (although purely coincidental). Some of it is going to be very random but I feel that’s what makes Favourites fun because certain items get honourable mentions and help define a moment in your life. Let’s get started shall we? Featured in this post: NETFLIX:Queer Eye (Season 3)Selling SunsetTerrace House: Boys & Girls in the City OTHER:Happy Glass (game)Stop Stealing Dreams – Seth Godin (A manifesto available on Medium – please read)BeautyPlus Netflix I don’t watch as much Netflix as most people because I am trying to enjoy everything I watch in small doses. In other words, I’m restraining myself from binge-watching too much at a time. I don’t know about you but whilst it was good to binge-watch at the beginning, it eventually ruins your …

Berlin Travel Diary – Berlin Wall and Gendarmenmarkt | Day 3

Obviously I didn’t just come back from Berlin. I’m just a horrible human being who posts things super late at times – but because I love sharing, I would like to showcase the remaining photos of my Berlin trip from September 2017. Plus, it’s nice to finish chapters in your life right? This will be the last segment to my Berlin Travel Diary series. I know that I said I went to Berlin for 5 days but I decided to only write about the 3 days in the middle since I am not quite counting the day of arrival or day of departure. (Either days were relatively chilled out although I think I have roughly covered the first day of arrival in my first segment.) In addition, thank you so far for the positive response from my last Berlin post! The comments written were very generous so I guess posting the photographs despite it being months late, was a good idea after all, right? You can catch up with the previous segments in the series …

I’m Back! + What to Expect When You’re Not Expecting

Hello all! It has been a time. I came back from Hong Kong a few days ago and honestly, it’s a little disappointing to return to weather that hasn’t changed much more than when I left. Even worse – we seem to have hit the rainy and windy season! It’s good for staying indoors though so there’s that. 😛 I’m still a little jet-lagged which is unusual but I really think it’s down to us trying out an earlier flight this time rather than the late one we always take. By the time we officially came back to our home (because we unluckily missed the initial coach by like 5 minutes and had to wait a further 2 hours for the next one AND pay for new tickets), it was 03:30. I ended up eating 3 meals after that, watched a film in-between at some point and finally crashed at 20:00. Some of you may have been following my Instagram Stories or may have just simply caught up with my latest post and realised that …

One Door Closes, Another Door Opens

There’s no other way to say it so I’ll just say it. As of Tuesday, I’ve been formally dismissed from my work. I failed my probation. But don’t threat, I’m actually not in a bad mood. Yes, of course I am a little disheartened but overall this feels like a very good breakup. (It’s strange but that’s the only way that I can describe it.) I didn’t know how I would feel because quite frankly, I have never failed anything. Like ever. But somehow, I felt this huge rush of relief flow through me yesterday when the outcome had been confirmed in a confidential meeting. Considering what had imploded in the past few months, it was probably wishful-thinking to think that I was ever going to pass. I wanted to keep that hope alive though because it’d suck to exit without trying and fighting and for the person that I am, I give my 110% in everything that I do. Sometimes it works out, sometimes it doesn’t but hand on my heart, I tried my …

Write Through Your Emotions

Note: You’ll figure out through reading this (if you’re an avid reader) that this is in the context of a few weeks ago. I’m posting it late anyways so enjoy. I finished season 1 of Netflix series You last night – have you watched it yet? All of my friends and colleagues have and wow, that was some next level of intense along with a couple of swear words here and there for expression. Anyways, I’ve been in a writing mood lately. Note that I said writing and not blogging. You might see some more written pieces in the next few posts…let’s say that I’m taking advantage of these moments in my life to write. I remember whilst I was still studying Fashion Design, one of the tutors was giving us a crash course lesson in draping and a tip she gave was to drape through your emotions. I think that’s what I really liked about the subject – sure it’s subjective but you could utilise your emotion to make a great thing. I firmly …
