July Monthly Favourites ft. Charlotte Tilbury, H&M + Etude House!

I actually couldn’t tell you what happened in July, except for the fact that I watched a lot of Wimbledon tennis for most of it. Otherwise the month just flew by as if we just skipped a month and said hello to August which also – what’s that all about?! I can however tell you what I’ve been really loving in the past month and wouldn’t you believe it…there is only one skincare product! As such, I’ll start with that first. Featured in this post: The Body Shop Mineral & Ginger Warming Mask Charlotte Tilbury Instant Look In A Palette in ‘Beauty Glow’ Etude House Drawing Eyebrow Duo in ‘#1 Dark Brown’ H&M Precision Sponge in ‘Natural White’ Palmolive Milk & Honey Shampoo VO5 Revive Me Daily Conditioner   Breaking out? You need a skin conditioner: A few weeks ago, I had one of the most horrific breakouts in my adult life, which I’m still trying to work out (more on that in another post). I masked a lot in those two weeks of recovering (!!) which lead …

The Beauty Clean-Up #6 (empties) | HUGE Edition!

Overdue is largely an understatement right now but I’m glad I can actively throw away what’s been in my beauty junk box since the last time we spoke. [See: The Beauty Clean-up #5] I’ve been doing some major collecting to the point that my beauty junk box is well and truly overflowing. I need to throw these empty packets and bottles away! This is going to be a particularly long post so to (hopefully) make things easier, I’ll keep each product review as short as possible! + Would repurchase – Will not bother again = Neutral/Indifferent + Simple Micellar Cleansing Water – Simple Toning Cleanser = Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water + Bioderma Sébium H2O + The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid 2% + The Ordinary Niacinamide + Zinc 1% + The Ordinary Azelaic Acid Suspension 10% + The Ordinary Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate 10% + The Ordinary Advanced Retinoid 2% + Boots No7 Youthful Eye Serum + Clinique All About Eyes + Clinique Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief – Clinique Pep-Start 2-in-1 Exfoliating Cleanser * + Eucerin Sun Fluid Mattifying SPF 50+ …

4 Beauty Waters on Trial

It has been trial month for me and I like to think that I’ve been patient enough in testing the products to have an acquired opinion about them! This time we’re talking beauty waters although I’m being quite loose with the term here. I really mean beauty waters in terms of its liquid form but by strict definition, I don’t think the eye makeup remover would pass as a beauty water! Otherwise, everything else is quite multi-functional; helping me prep my skin prior to more skincare goodness and/or makeup. These are perhaps the most beauty waters I’ve owned and used in the same beauty cycle so you can say I’m stepping into new territory! Featured in this post: Bioderma Sébium H2O Nivea Double Effect Eye Makeup Remover La Roche-Posay Serozinc Avène Thermal Spring Water The Micellar Water I wouldn’t say I swear by micellar waters because you shouldn’t get lazy about washing your face twice (i.e. double-cleanse) but I don’t think I can extract them from my life either. It’s what I use as my ‘morning-cleanse’ …

June Monthly Favourites ft. Bioderma, Avène & LUSH

How is everyone? I know I’m rather late on this Favourites post given that we’re into the second or so week of July, but it’s definitely not a post I want to miss! Last month, I didn’t have any beauty favourites because I was in the midst of testing so many products that I needed to give more time for an opinion overall. Plus, I didn’t want to force any product as favourite. Honesty is the best policy after all. Otherwise, it was a laid-back month which I think, showed. It was my birthday in June – any other June babies too? We had a heatwave for a couple of days, going up to around 30 degrees so you’ll see some products here that helped me deal with that. Sometimes, I’m not sure how to deal with my skin in warmer climates, but my game seems more solid this season like I’ve finally figured it out.   ‘How?’, you ask. Let’s find out: Bioderma Sebium H2O Micellar Water Avène Thermal Spring Water L’Oréal Paris Pure Clay …

Review: L’Oreal Paris Pure Clay Detox Wash

I’m currently in the midst of testing numerous products. I haven’t actually counted how many but it’s definitely over ten! For now, I’m just focusing on the moment and with an almost entirely different skincare routine, I truly hope I’m making the right transition! If all goes well, I will write up my new skincare routine in about a month’s time. 🙂 Today, it’s the L’Oreal Paris Pure Clay Detox Wash that I’ll be talking about so carry on reading to see what I make of it! For reference, I have combination/oily skin that can have a tendency to be dehydrated.   What is it?  It’s a cleansing gel-wash formulated with three pure clays combined with charcoal, to help detoxify your skin. The ‘detox’ includes absorbing excess oil, dirt and make-up residue which more often than not, lead to imperfections if not treated well. With use, this product helps to deeply cleanse and purify your skin. (Below Information taken from FeelUnique.com) 3 PURE CLAYS + CHARCOAL Kaolin- a highly effective natural clay, known to absorb …
