October Monthly Favourites | 2019

Fall has really come through and I’m feeling the cold just a bit! I do love this season though and just the other day, I was able to rummage through the autumnal leaves in my new leather boots (cue favourite for next month’s post). Products I Want But Don’t Need Therefore Won’t Buy! ft. Joyce

It’s no unknown fact that the beauty industry is flourishing right now. Great for us as shoppers because there’s choice (although perhaps too much choice); horrible for businesses as competition gets more fierce unless you’re Jeffree Starr. Today, we’re going to be doing something a little bit different. I’ve been blogging on and off for about 5 years now and I have never done a collaboration post. Well, things are about to change soon. Me and my good blogger friend Joyce @localgirlforeignland started talking and the idea of a collaboration post came up! You can follow Joyce here and here. I’ve never actually posted an anti-haul before on the blog so that’s what we’ll be doing today. Feel free to leave in the comments what products would be in your anti-haul! ⬇️⬇️⬇️ Please note that I do not own any of the images. Each image belongs to its brand respectively. Suqqu Pure Color Blush – retailing at £34 I can’t quite remember when I first heard about this brand – I think quite possibly via …

My Current Playlist #1

Thought I’d put together something a little different! I am a huge music fan; probably more so this year than ever before since I’m making more effort to discover new artists and not listen to all the auto-tuned records playing on the radio. Without naming any names, some artists have become huge sell-outs which has disappointed me greatly since their artistry was so good to begin with. I guess that’s what it means when they say it’s hard to stay original and relevant in the industry. Without further ado, here’s a compiled list of 30 songs that I’ve been listening to non-stop as of late: Gabrielle Aplin – Waking Up Slow (Piano Version) H.E.R – Focus H.E.R – Hard Place H.E.R – Going (Full) Post Malone – Circles Post Malone – Allergic Miley Cyrus – Slide Away Tori Kelly – Unbreakable Smile Tori Kelly – Coffee Alina Baraz – Electric (ft. Khalid) Jeremy Zucker – every day (stripped) Jeremy Zucker – comethru Pale Wales – There’s a Honey Bronski Beat – Smalltown Boy Charlie Puth …

Lately on Netflix #4

It’s been a rainy fall season so far with Netflix and coffee getting me through. I’m sure I have mentioned before but I go through phases when it comes to watching any movies or series. I have to be in the mood for one, and I have to have the time and need to be able to finish watching something. My mind is normally going all the time so it’s not everyday that I can focus on a certain storyline – especially if it’s a heavy one. Here’s a selection of some of the things I’ve watched in the past month, and my thoughts: Euphoria Okay – so we’re bending the rules and going in with a non-Netflix series first because it’s just too good to mention. (Besides, it’s not like every movie or series on Netflix is by Netflix.) If you feel like you have seen all the sexually-charged, drug-fuelled teenage series that there is to watch then think again. Euphoria does not merely spoon-feed you to only give you a glimpse of the …

My Busy Summer: Lessons in Self-Growth

Forgive me for having been absent from the blog for months. This summer just gone has been a whirlwind and quite frankly my busiest summer since…forever? It was nice though because I am not the type to book a holiday for next year. I do things in the moment or last minute which works well for some people and not so well for others. I am a spontaneous event planner. Somehow I found myself at a project after another and towards the end of my summer, I even went to Edinburgh for 4 days! Of course, these are all experiences accumulated from my new work but it was an unforgettable summer. I have met so many new people and whilst I can see more challenges ahead, it’s a start of something. A spark. Whether I should let it burn, ignite, is another story but I’m continuing the journey anyway. I haven’t written a life update since my last, so here’s a summary of events that took place this summer for me and what I took …
