Fall has really come through and I’m feeling the cold just a bit! I do love this season though and just the other day, I was able to rummage through the autumnal leaves in my new leather boots (cue favourite for next month’s post). I hope you’re all wrapped up warm?
I haven’t written a Favourites post for a good couple of months now so I thought it was about time that I told you what I have enjoyed as of recent!
Let’s get started shall we?

*I am aware that what I have pictured is not the same scent as to what I have described. I have been living between 2 different places from weekdays to weekend so as you can imagine, my beauty collections are not all in one spot. My opinions however, remain true to its description.
First up, we have the IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC+ Cream with SPF 50+. Now there is a bit of a funny story with this one in that the first time I used this, I wasn’t mega impressed and even voiced this on my Instagram Stories. In retrospect, I think I used either too much product and/or was testing pre-foundation base products that wasn’t doing me any favours. I guess I have to swallow my words now because this is hands-down my favourite everyday base right now. It is just so pretty on the skin! I might even prefer this over foundation. I also find that it performs better than my much-loved Clinique City Block Sheer SPF 25. (Perhaps I should write a comparison post?) It covers my redness rather well without it looking like I’m wearing makeup. Plus I love how I can just apply this with my fingers! Definitely something worth investing in if you want an effective 10 minute makeup routine.
We’re moving swiftly into my last makeup favourite for this past month. The NYX Lingerie Liquid Lipstick in Ruffle Trim has been a fond favourite not just as of recent, but pretty much in the last couple of months! Without a doubt, it took me a long time to get into liquid lipsticks simply because I’m not a matte girl. This on the other hand, is really natural on the lip. I typically like to apply this over a lip balm as it prevents my lip from drying out or sticking. The staying power is impressive – I could have a coffee and a meal and still have a bit of colour left on my lip so it isn’t left completely bare. A definite recommend if you haven’t tried! Other shades that I’ve purchased: Push-Up (a true nude) and Exotic (cinnamon red).
In the run up to my best friend’s wedding (it was on Halloween FYI!), I couldn’t go to the hair salon to have my hair cut even though I was craving for a fresh trim; so instead, I turned to a hair mask. The Garnier Ultimate Blends Hair Food Coconut 3-in-1 Hair Mask was on special offer (half price I think) and I thought why not? I’m incredibly low-maintenance when it comes to my hair so I’m not sure how much my opinion will weigh but I felt that this product really restored my hair to better condition without weighing it down! I don’t actually like using hair conditioner since my hair ends up getting oilier quicker due to the silicon coating but this is such a great alternative to fix that problem! I’ve bought the Banana scent to try out so I will be giving that a go too!
We’re finally moving into skincare and looks like I only have one to talk about! Kiehl’s is a brand that I don’t tend to buy much from but I did manage to grab their Kiehl’s Rare Earth Deep Pore Daily Cleanser before the summertime. It’s a very gentle clay facial cleanser that helps exfoliate the skin without actually stripping it bare. I’m in a bit of a debate on whether to eliminate physical exfoliators from my skincare routines but for now, I’m a fan of this! Recommend: if you have congested, oily skin like me.
This Favourites post might just be my most assorted yet since they tend to be more skincare-heavy. Before I dive into some hair accessories to round off the post, I would like to mention the Primark Slim Zip case which I recently purchased for just £5! I needed a much more compact makeup case to chuck in my bag and this is just the perfect size. I’m able to keep everything I need to touch up my makeup and/or enough makeup for a 10-minute look. Plus it’s cute. If you’re looking for cosmetic cases, Primark has a lot to offer with all different sizes.
Now, for someone who just said she’s very low-maintenance with her hair, there’s a lot that I’m touching upon when it comes to the topic! I’m sort of stingy when it comes to buying hair accessories. I just refuse to pay £8 for a single hair clip! I’ve been wanting to get some hair scrunchies for a long time but they tend to be £10 upwards for a set of 3. I stumbled upon these Primark Velvet Hair Scrunchies for a fraction of the price and have worn them a few times without disappointment. I was worried that they might slide down but they keep in place pretty well! Second to that, I also purchased the Primark Pearl and Gold Hair Slides which I got a chance to wear at my best friend’s wedding. They’re super cute and again, very inexpensive compared to the normal market price.
