Some Advice If You’re Breaking Out

As I’m typing this, it’s a Sunday afternoon (20th August to be exact) and I’m breaking out again. I may have mentioned briefly that I broke out some weeks ago – quite horrifically. Perhaps the worse breakout I’ve ever had in my adult life. In a way I didn’t know how to deal and the recovery took about two weeks which is really long in my books (but I realise this is different for everybody and for every breakout). Today, I thought I’d give some advice on this front, as much as I’m still breaking out; though this time, it’s not so serious and I think more linked to ‘that time of the month’. Now, this isn’t a miracle guide by any means, but I think are some crucial steps that I’ve learnt over the years as well as more recently. If you want, you can share some of your best tips in the comments too and make this a useful discussion for everyone! 🙂 Enjoy!   [See also: My Current Treatments Routine] You’re not …

Review: Charlotte Tilbury Instant Look in a Palette (Beauty Glow)

You may have read my July Monthly Favourites recently, in which case, if you did, you would have seen that the Charlotte Tilbury Instant Look in a Palette (Beauty Glow) was featured in it. It’s no secret then that this is going to be a positive review! But hear me out – this is a big deal for me in many ways. For one, it’s the first palette that I can make use of 100%. The rest? You’ll have to read below! What is it? It’s marketed as an all-in-one palette that achieves a look in 5 minutes! It’s a straightforward, no-fuss palette that’s numbered from 1-7 which is perfect if you’re a beginner. 1-3 are eyeshadow shades (2 shimmers, 1 matte) 4 – bronzer 5+6 are blusher shades (CT’s ‘swish + pop’ system – see below) 7 – highlight This Beauty Glow palette in particular, promotes a radiant, dreamy look. In fact, it’s inspired by Poppy Delevingne’s wedding makeup (Cara Delevingne’s sister if you didn’t quite work that out). How much does it cost? …

Current Thoughts At Half Past Ten

My wet hair is wrapped up in a blue towel, and I’m in the midst of my skincare routine – that’s how casual this post is going to be! Originally, I had planned for another bullet journal post, documenting my recent pages (by recent, I mean in the last month or so) but as it stands, British weather has kicked in – it was dark and raining quite heavily. The type where you want to be indoors all day but most of all – where there’s no decent amount of natural lighting for you to take pictures. So I’ve postponed it for now. It’ll likely be up later in the week though I’ve just checked that the weather just isn’t promising for the next few days. I’ll find a way! This post isn’t a filler by any means either. Just moved from Friday’s post to today instead, because I have in fact, been having a lot of thoughts lately and it’s nice to spill once in a while… 😛 On Sunday, I went to my …

July Monthly Favourites ft. Charlotte Tilbury, H&M + Etude House!

I actually couldn’t tell you what happened in July, except for the fact that I watched a lot of Wimbledon tennis for most of it. Otherwise the month just flew by as if we just skipped a month and said hello to August which also – what’s that all about?! I can however tell you what I’ve been really loving in the past month and wouldn’t you believe it…there is only one skincare product! As such, I’ll start with that first. Featured in this post: The Body Shop Mineral & Ginger Warming Mask Charlotte Tilbury Instant Look In A Palette in ‘Beauty Glow’ Etude House Drawing Eyebrow Duo in ‘#1 Dark Brown’ H&M Precision Sponge in ‘Natural White’ Palmolive Milk & Honey Shampoo VO5 Revive Me Daily Conditioner   Breaking out? You need a skin conditioner: A few weeks ago, I had one of the most horrific breakouts in my adult life, which I’m still trying to work out (more on that in another post). I masked a lot in those two weeks of recovering (!!) which lead …

Bullet Journal Staples – What I Use To Make Each Page My Own

My last post about starting my bullet journal got a lot of love and just overall, exceeded my expectations in its response, so thank you so much for all the love! ❤ As promised, I said that I’d write a follow-up post regarding what stationary I use to make each and every page my own. If you’re a student, just graduated or simply a stationary hoarder, then you might find that you don’t need to buy much else to start your bullet journal! Or at least, that’s what I found. Otherwise, here’s an idea of what I use and what you could add to your collection!
