The Lifestyle EDIT – Recent Lifestyle Favourites

Hi all! I hope all is well.

For those who have been following me for a while, you may know about my monthly favourites which I have been doing for a good few months now. However, I typically limit this to only about 10 products (max) that can be applied to the beauty and fashion categories.

There have of course been instances where I have had something wholly different to want to include but I felt that a) it wouldn’t fit right with the rest of the post; and b) it would honestly make the post too long.

So here it is – a lifestyle favourites in its own glory to rave about books/articles, videos, films, other blogs etc. (You get the gist.)

This post is dedicated to YOU – for being smart and beautiful, so let’s continue that journey!

If you’re ready for your mind to be frazzled, then watch this: I seldom watch TV anymore. Nowadays, YouTube is my TV and I don’t even own a Netflix account because I just wouldn’t have the time to watch so much. But I have been watching one series: a Korean drama called W. The plot, concept and characters are truly amazing that this is one of those dramas you really cannot predict and really need to watch more than once to fully understand. It’s too complicated for me to explain but think American film Inception and the idea of two dimensions. I’m still mind-blown by it.

All-time favourite, for the laughs, for the feel-good vibes: I practically grew up watching The Graham Norton Show and to this day, it is still one of my favourite shows to watch. I believe it is even popular across the globe because it really is an unconventional set-up that brings out the best yet most natural out of the celebrity guests. There is not one episode where I do not laugh! Graham Norton is such a great interviewer with the best timing, charm and wit. His humour is just brilliant.

What the tennis world had been missing in a long time: You probably don’t know unless you follow me on Twitter, but I am a huge tennis fan. Unfortunately, every year, I am least in-line with the Australian Open due to the time difference so I usually just follow scores. To my joy, Federer made a comeback after 6-months timeout so to see him in The Men’s Singles Australian Open Final with Nadal and consequently win it was the cherry on top for tennis fans! (Though I wish both could win as they both deserved it.) It was such a great battle between them and by far one of the best grand-slam finals in a long time. Long time.

New favourite song that makes me sing-along too: Think Michael Jackson vibes. Smooth voice that hits notes up there. It’s I Feel It Coming by The Weekend that’s been taking my fancy in the listening department.

YouTube always has space for more covers…even by celebrities: Ashley Tisdale recently made a YouTube channel and whilst I don’t necessarily follow her nor did I grow up watching High School Musical, I came across a video and loved it immediately. Intrigued by the title, I clicked and it really took me by surprise. Her and Vanessa Hudgen’s voices blend so well together! Really, check it out! ⬆️

Best book I’ve read in a long time: I made a GoodReads account right at the start of the year to track my reading progress because I made it a goal to read more this year. (See: Reset: 7 Changes I’m Making in 2017.) Dark Places by Gillian Flynn has been on my list since finishing Gone Girl two years ago and it’s SO GOOD that I can’t decide which I like better! If you love dark, twisty reads then I thoroughly recommend Gillian Flynn books in general.

Now to wrap up…some YouTubers and bloggers that have inspired me!

Chloe Ting YouTubeHealth & Fitness vlogger from Australia, Chloe shares her passion of fitness on video format and it really shows. Though fitness routines are nothing new to the YouTube community, her approach and dedication  is something truly inspiring. I particularly envy the goals she sets for herself and her body and demonstrates how a ‘lean body’ is not the only body ideal!

Cherry Mag BlogCool Italian It-girl Francesca fronts this blog whilst partner Gianluca designs the website and manages the photography. Fran’s style really comes across well and it’s clear that the duo know more than a thing or two about editing.

Wit and Delight BlogI initially got to know about Wit and Delight via their Tumblr page and somehow I found their main website. It’s the place I go to for some self-love and cultivation as well as inspiration for interiors! Perfect for Sundays.

Something a little different than what I normally post! Please let me know if you have come across any of the above mentioned or any recommendations that you think I’d like, in the comments below!

Much love. 🙂 ❤

    • It’s definitely not a book for everyone! I was quite surprised myself when I first got into reading these dark, twisty books but they actually happen to be my favourite genre because it made such an impact on me. The characters are utterly flawed and I think that’s what really strikes me the most regarding her books!

  1. I think i’ll try out W tonight since I got kind of bored watching Sweet Stranger and Me( The Man Living in Our House), thanks for giving me a reason to try it. And I thought their Ashley and Vanessa’s cover together was so cute and I wonder why Vanessa Hudgens doesn’t do more music.

    • Let me know what you think! I don’t watch a lot of K-drama but that one was right up there with my top favourites!

I totally agree! I think both their voices are golden. A lot of the time though, it’s a record company thing I think. As in the company don’t really connect with the artist and ‘make it happen’.

  2. We only watch the Graham Norton show when we travel – we’re not able to get his show here. I suppose there’s online.. 😛 His show is great! I love the mishmash guests he has on and his British sense of humour.

    • YouTube is the one!

I’m always in such a good mood after I watch an episode 😊I actually think he’s become even funnier with age.
